George:  I am sending this congratulatory note to you because you certainly
are a large part of the cheerleading that went on for Sandcastle - and you
send us so many wonderful pictures that you make any event irresistible.
The Town Photo is a gem - and congrats for having it in the CB History
Center & Museum Calendar for 2010!

 

I also wish that you would forward this to your great mailing list with my
profound thanks to all who made the WEEKEND a roaring success.  Not in the
fourteen years that I have been back have I had such a good Sandcastle
weekend (financially).  Debbie Nelson and Wendy Higgins deserve a large
share of thanks, but I know that Carol Hungerford and Chamber volunteers and
Diane Speakman and Kelli at Bruce's Candy Kitchen contributed greatly as
well.  There is plenty of CREDIT to go around - for a change - and I hope
that they will all take deep bows.  I have always dreaded Sandcastle because
all it meant was drippy ice cream cones and requests for the rest room...NOT
THIS YEAR...we had a fabulous weekend and I am grateful after a long, dark,
never-ending winter.
