summer traffic. Every summer there are bikers hit. Bike lanes as some points
are narrow. Anthony wrote an article in the Gazette on this a couple months
ago. See
http://www.cannonbeachgazette.com/news/local_news/article_a36a2928-e195-11e1
-88a1-001a4bcf887a.html.
7. BillyJoeE: Mo's will begin and extensive interior remodel the week of
Oct 15. Our WMM's will need to find a new venue. Three suggestions from the
group are Tolovana Inn, Pizza a Fetta and the Chamber. The Chamber is
available except when booked for a wedding or other event. I will see if
either Tolovana Inn or Pizza a Fetta is willing. Thanks to Mo's for hosting
us for some 3 years and for having coffee ready with a smile. It was been a
great community service. Note: Need someone(s) to take notes in Sept while
George is gone. Reply now if available.

do adopt a new best friend.
9. GeorgeV: The Friday Evacuation Walks led by Nancy Giasson from the
Community Church continue each Friday. Meet at 930am at the Community Church

time-consuming. Margo has stopped accepting their cards. Kevin says he is
seeing other businesses do the same.
5. CathyH/WendyH: EVOO is still pretty much filling up for their dinner
shows, but more and more is last minute. Same thing is happening at the

9. GeorgeV: Statistics about traffic in Cannon Beach has always been a
matter of opinion and speculation. Traffic counters on our roads, especially
at the entrances and exits would greatly assist businesses and event holders
in knowing the facts and in comparing one day, week, month, event to
another. Jason will see what can be done.
10. KathyK/MargoD: Evening shoppers are out, but consistently asking why so
many stores close at 5 and 6pm. The business is there if people are open.
WendyH says more guests at the Ocean Lodge would be shopping/strolling
downtown if more stores were open. There is just one month left to take
advantage of peak season. The sales that are done this time of year after
6pm will very likely surpass what can be done on any day in Jan or Feb and
many days in Dec and Mar. Try it!
11. KathyK: Mimosa Madness is the day after Thanksgiving. Make plans with
Kathy now to promote this Sales Event. "Cannon Beach's alternative to Black
Friday! Enjoy your holiday and don't worry you've missed out on the crush at
the mall. Cannon Beach merchants will be up early with you to share the fun,
excitement and BARGAINS of your favorite Holiday Season!"
www.facebook.com/mimosamadness
12. MargoD: Daughter Sarah is a Shanghaied Roller Doll: Their first event is
right around the corner! Come watch the Shanghaied Roller Dolls scrimmage in
the Inaugural Brawl! This is a kick off to the derby season and we want our
community to know how far we've come since coming together in September
2011! INAUGURAL BRAWL: The TEAse Party vs. The ProhiBITCH'n Party Sunday,
August 19 at 5:00pm at Clatsop County Fairgrounds. Find Shanghaied Roller
Dolls Fans on facebook.
