11. GeorgeV: With the holiday season fast approaching, the CB Academy
Fundraising Committee is working on a community Christmas Party. We have
secured a location, date and time and have begun working on the details.
The party will be Sunday December 14 from 1-230p.m. at The Cannon Beach
Chamber of Commerce. Finger foods, drinks and craft activities from 1-2p.m.

will bring Santa at 2:15p.m. Informational Flyers will go up around town
this weekend. Do attend and please let others know, especially anyone with
children.
The Cannon Beach Academy has opened a restricted escrow account at Columbia
Bank. The restricted account is important because it will allow donors who
are ready to write checks to do so knowing that their money will be secure
and not used until there is an approved charter. Additionally, should the
charter school not open, the money will be returned to the donors from this
account. The Board feels this will help us acquire start up funds in the
bank, which will address a major concern that the ODE Review Committee
expressed. Donors who wish to give money to use now may also make donations
to a general fund. This money goes into another bank account at Columbia
Bank and this money is used for any operating expenses now while working on
the charter.
12. GeorgeV: Stay tuned for details about a CB Academy benefit at George
Vetter FotoArt. Besides 50% of all sales of George's photography, 50% of
works brought in by others will also benefit the Academy. Please let George

this benefit affair. Stephanie at Primary Elements has already stepped up.
Don't hesitate - this needs to happen soon - George needs to turn the
premises over to the Ocean Spa.
