1. DebbieN: Sandcastle 2015 was a big success thanks to all the volunteers
who stepped up. GeorgeV: Without Debbie's skilled, devoted leadership and
organization it couldn't have happened. JasonS: Traffic was better than
last year, but there were still complaints by people trying to go south on
101 behind all those getting off at the Tolovana exit. The beach ramp was
widened to two lane this year which helped with getting cars on and off at
the same time. George counted 270 cars on the beach at 1030am and 350 at
1230pm which was the time that no more cars were allowed to enter. At that
point, many cars had already pulled out or were doing so. CourtC: OPB was
there filming one of our master groups - Jessops. BillieJoeE: Mo's came
just short of reaching their best day ever. Debbie/Jason: Traffic downtown
was slow, but kept moving. Officers were on hand, but not needed for
traffic control. JimP: The Fun Run on Sunday morn had about 60 participants
(9 from the Ocean Spa). GeorgeV: Once again, the tide did little to no
damage to the sculptures, evidenced by the a very small section of the
Jerome Kersey tribute that tramplers missed.

current Sandcastle Poster) will be leaving the Cannon Beach Police to take
