5. New at today's meeting: Jeremy and Sally Clifford have purchased Voyages
Toy Company in Sandpiper Sq. Jeremy, originally from Astoria, has spent the
last 16 years working professionally in Project Management. He has worked
from such companies as Hollywood Video, Starbucks Coffee Co., and
KinderCare Education. In 2010 he started the company Cosmic Reads, LLC. A
company that sells high grade comic books online at www.cosmicreads.com.
Jeremy is also an authorized witness for comic book signatures for CBCS
comic book grading. He is married to Sally and they have a son:
Charlie. Sally, originally from Cornelius, OR, has spent the last 15 years
working for OHSU. In 2016 she also became an authorized witness for CBCS
comic book grading. Over the past several years both Sally and Jeremy have
been attending comic book conventions all over Oregon, Washington, and

the Clatsop County Fairgrounds. The format has been enhanced this year to

16. GeorgeV via AndrewT: Oregon's Poet Laureate, Elizabeth Woody, will give
a free reading in Cannon Beach, Friday, February 17, 7:00PM at Tolovana
Hall 3779 Hemlock St. Woody is the eighth poet to hold the post. Appointed
in 2016 by governor Kate Brown, among the the Poet Laureate's duties are to
"foster the art of poetry, encourage literacy and learning, address
central issues relating to humanities and heritage, and to reflect on
public life in Oregon." Woody's work is deeply rooted in both personal
experience and her American Indian heritage. She is an enrolled member of
the Confederate Tribes of Warm Springs. In a review of Woody's 'Luminaries
of the Humble,’ writer Judy Elsey observed: "Woody's poetry acts as a tool
for rebuilding history, reconstituting dignity, and communicating culture." For
