Weather was good, 6 master plots were the most ever, crowd was good. Friday night’s dinner at Tolovana Inn served more than 100 people. Jerome Kersey was there. Sunday’s Fun Run had about 50 participants. GeorgeV: On Saturday at 1030am there were 175 cars parked on the beach and they were streaming in. At 1pm there were 200 cars on the beach. Cars were still coming in, but others were leaving. Cars had to be off the beach by 2pm. Saturday’s 730pm concert at the Coaster by Beckerheads was attended by about 50. ValerieR: Retail was good as was the mood of the crowd coming into Cannon Beach Book Co. Next year’s Sandcastle is June 15, 2013. He grew up in the Beaverton area and spent time in Cannon Beach and Seaside with his grandparents who lived here. He lives on Beerman Creek (this side of the flooding) on 23 acres with his wife Jennifer, Son Jackson (8) and daughter Jasmin (6). He will take time once here to come downtown to meet the business people.
