JasonS: Keep your eyes open for counterfeit $100 bills. As per Sheri at Bank of Astoria, you can purchase a counterfeit pen from Staples or Office Depot. With the pen, if the bill turns brown you possibly have a counter fit bill but beware that even if it turns yellow this doesn’t mean that you don’t have a bleached bill. (This means that a real $10 can be made to look like a $100) The bill should have a strip going through the bill and have a wax feeling to the touch. It should also have a raised print like and embossment, I always run my finger over the presidents collar. If you have a black light it should pick up the fabric strips, the holograms and the strip. (Note: the older bills do not have the strip). Most counterfeits that I have seen are the older $100 and $20. If you have any question that a bill maybe fraudulent please do not hesitate to inform your customer to go to your local bank and have the bill exchanged at that time!

11.
