New at Today's Meeting: Court Carrier is the new Chamber Director.
Yesterday was his first day on the job. Court is married with two
children - a 24 yr old son in Beaverton at Digimark and a 30 yr old
daughter teaching in Aloha HS. His father owned a Personnel Systems
company. Court has spent his entire life in hospitality. Started off
with a job at Glacier Lodge. Spent 27 years at Mt Hood College and was
involved in the Jazz Fest. Has owned a second home in Cannon Beach for 5
years. His realtor - Robin Risley. He will spend 4 days a week here and
three days in Portland assisting his brother who recently suffered a
debilitating spinal injury. For now, Court will be working on Stormy
Weather Arts Festival with Jim and getting out to meet people. He will
work with the the Board and members to come up with a strategic plan.

a second ballot. The first ballot had the CCC Measure listed as $8,200

Plans are underway for Stormy Weather Arts Festival (SWAF) The Friday
night event will be different than in past years. It will be called Art
in Action (not Quickdraw). There will not be a live auction, just a
silent auction. The focus will be on art and artists with entertainment

sold which allow the holder to get early entry and access to their

Some neighborhood residents have reported seeing these normally
nocturnal wood rats during daylight hours. This is a sign of large
numbers. These rats live in wood piles and the like and feed off seed
and whatever else they can find - including what you put out for birds
and pets. Talk to your neighbors and if your neighborhood is affected,
coordinate with others to control this with a unified effort. This
species can reproduce monthly with litters of up to 20 - so don't wait.<br></p><p><cite></cite></p><p>9. JohnB The
