The few passengers I spoke with were anything but "disgruntled"...they were
"charmed"...by our town , by the ambassadors, the helpful, & friendly
attitude. In my business, it just takes one...a handful does not necearrilly
raise my chances for a good sale or a return customer. I am of the mind,
"build it and they will come".
I had just 2 people in the gallery from the last cruise ship, but they were
from CA. and perhaps they were seeing the town and my gallery for the first
time. The liklihood of their returning and telling their friends and
families about us is very good. It is not about "me" or my personal gain,
$$$$$, it is supporting our entire business community & the viability of our
success & to show support for all the others who have given of their time
and tallents to work with the tour agency and the cruise ships to bring
about their trips to Cannon Beach. This is a team effort. That is one thing
this economy has done for us..."a gift"...that has united us and will make
us stronger as a community on every level. Stephanie
