[wmm] Reminder: WMM March 2, 2011 8am at Mo's

An additional reminder that tonight is the Clatsop Community College Board
of Directors meeting where the public may have input to the administration's
recommendation to eliminate the full time faculty position for the Small
Business Management Program. For well over 20 years, this program has helped
hundreds, probably thousands, become stronger businesses, better employers
and in many cases helped them survive tough times. Other community college's
who have eliminated faculty for this program and given responsibility to the
Small Business Development Center have seen a decrease in services and a
loss of FTEs. Any who are concerned about this potential loss of services to
our business community should plan on attending to show your support for
continuing existing faculty funding for the program as it currently exists,
even if you don't want to make a public statement. The meeting is a Clatsop
Community College's Columbia Hall, Room 219 at 6:30pm

> George agreed saying that even if the money challenge were overcome, it
> would be a major challenge to keep the app current and that you could not
> rely on participants to do that without having someone designated to verify
> that info is current and to solicit current info from participants. Malia
> thinks that smart phone apps will become the norm in the future just like
> websites are now. She thinks getting started with something, even if it is
