Next Wednesday Morning Meeting – Oct 2, 2013, Pizza a Fetta, 8am.
Bring your own coffee cup. Coffee is provided courtesy of Pizza a
Fetta and Bella Espresso. Come a bit early to get your coffee
downstairs at Bella
1. LindaB: Rite Aid will be conducting a flu shot clinic at Cannon
Beach City Hall on Oct 16th from 8am –noon by pre-registration only.
To make appointment call Rite Aid at 503.738.8422. All insurances
welcome.
2. Margaret: Lives in Transition will start on Sept 30th in Seaside
from 10:30 – 12:30 Mon and Weds and in Astoria. There is also an
evening class in Astoria. This is a free class meant to help people
get into education and/or to grow on a personal level. I highly
recommend it!!!! Call the program at 503.338.2377
3. MaryB and DougD: SAFE –Support a Future for Education – is a
effort to pass a school relocation bond for Seaside school district.
Many positive topics were discussed. For more information go to
http://www.seaside.k12.or.us/. Learn about the new campus on Sat. Oct
5 from 10am – 12noon. Meet at the ball fields on Wahanna (by
hospital) and run or walk up to new site above Seaside Heights
Elementary.
4. EricJ: Three area chambers have joined forces to bring Patrick
McGaughey CPF in for an intensive dynamic workshop on customer
service/leadership training. Cost is $99 for two employees. Money
back guaranteed if you are bored! Two classes in Astoria on Oct 8th,
one each in Seaside Oct 9th and Cannon Beach Oct 10th. Call

information.
5. ERICJ: Haystack Dollars program is being launch. Please attend
presentations to learn how it works on Tuesday Oct 1 at 8:30am or
Thursday Oct 3 at 5:30pm.
6. Eric J: Accepting resumes for a part time admin. Assistant at the
chamber until Oct 1 at 5:00pm
7. WendyH: 2 ad spots available for WOW weekend in the Coast Weekend.

8. Mary: Clatsop Community College Fall term classes starts Monday
Sept 30th. It’s not too late to register. Call 503.338.2411 or go to

9. JulieW: Small Business Management Class is starting Oct 7th. This
comes highly recommended by several people in the room. Info at

10. Jenee: Shred-a-thon sponsors by Pacific Alarm Systems will be held
at the Seaside High School parking lot on Oct 19th from 9:30am –
1:00pm.
11. SusanB: Partner with KMUN on a Shop Local Campaign for the holiday

12. RyanH: Children’s Center Fun Run was postponed until May 31, 2014.
Watch for details.
13.RyanH: Coaster Theatre’s play Gramercy’s Ghost is having record
audiences. White Christmas rehearsals have started.
14. EricJ: Stormy Weather event tickets will sell out. Call the
Chamber now for Quick Draw and Curtis Salgado tickets 503.436.2623
15: GeorgeV: Asking for feedback on 2013 Cannon Beach Magazine as we
start to plan for 2014.
