Discussion Items:

1.          Rich: 161 applications received for HRAP Exec. Director
position.

2.          Application period is closed.  Still taking applications for
Farmer Market Director- Part time position. Apply with City of Cannon Beach.

3.          Flu shots Oct 16th from 10am – noon at City Hall.  Given by
Rite Aid, insurances welcome.

4.          Forum on Homelessness in Clatsop County given by Helping Hands
Alan Evans Oct 23 6pm at City Hall.

5.          OLCC classes given at Seaside campus of CCC on Oct 18 1-5pm. $35

6.          CASA (Court Appointed Speical Advocate) volunteer training Oct
23rd.  Please register with Ann or Lauren at 503.338.6063

7.          Mo’s is donating $1 to the CB Fire Dept for every Cod dish sold
in the month of October. Eat up!

8.          Volunteer Fire Dept Dinner this Saturday Oct 9th 4-8 at
conference center dining hall. Eat up more!

9.          Quick Draw and Curtis Salgado tickets still available.

10.      Next Business after Hours is at Tolovanna Inn Oct 17th 5-7pm

11.      *NEW TO OUR MEETING* – George Elkin of Expedia Lodging Partner

12.      Gazette’s to be published on Fridays starting Oct 25th.

13.      City Council is considering an ordinance on garage sales
restrictions.

14.      October is Domestic Violence Awareness month.  Buy your purple
light bulb for home and business at the police department. $2.00

15.      Jon Broderick has put together dates for creative writing class
with the focus of writing stories about working in Cannn Beach.  Classes
start Oct 23 and cost $30 for 3 sessions.  Contact Jon or the Chamber for

16.      IceFire Glassworks has an opening for year round sales help.  PT
now moving to FT in summer.

17.      Kamali Sotheby’s, Columbia Bank, Seaside Brewing and Coast
Community Radio KMUN are partnering to bring Marta Cook and Devin Shephard
to the Hoffman Center in Manzanita for an evening of traditional Irish
music.  Concert is October 16th. Doors open at7:00pm for beer service,
music starts at 7:30pm.  $10.00 advanced tickets available at Cloud and
Leaf in Manzanita, at the Radio Station 503.3245.0010.

19.      Nancy McCarthy will be conducting an interview with the Seaside
new school campus architect on After Deadline 9:30am Friday Oct 18th on

21.      Cannon Beach Academy will be focusing on Parent outreach this
month with 4 meetings scheduled.

Patrick McGaughey CPF in for an intensive dynamic workshop on customer
service/leadership training.  Cost is $99 for two employees.  Money back
