1. KevanR: Jane Brumfield has resigned as program director for the Cannon
Beach Arts Assn at their Cannon Beach Gallery. A search for a replacement
is underway. Contact board president Lila Wickham - lilawickhamrn at gmail.com.

2. JohnB: Last Friday the Cannon Beach Chorus performed John Rutter's
Gloria and Carols from Many Lands at Cannon Beach Community Church to a
packed house. This followed performances the week before in Warrenton and
Nehalem. The Nehalem concert was a Manzanita Tornado benefit which raised
$900. Each concert included an intermission where the chorus mixed with the
crowd in an adjoining room filled with holiday cookies and snacks. At the
end of each concert, the 60 member chorus surrounded the crowd and sang
while John led the crowd in Silent Night - very touching. Photos at

practice after the new year for their Spring concerts featuring composer

3. CourtC: Haystack Holidays is going swimmingly. Still coming are weekend
performances of "It's a Wonderful Life" at Coaster Theatre (see photos

Foods from around the World Dec 26-30, Holiday Concert - The Coats A
Capella Concert/Show at Coaster Theatre Wednesday Dec 28. A new twist this
year with Holiday Window Displays will be stores decorating their windows
to the theme of a Christmas song. Visitors will be challenged to guess the

4. CourtC: Noon tomorrow (Thursday) will be the last chance to renew
Chamber membership and avoid being left out of Cannon Beach Magazine and

5. Mo's will close for Christmas at 5 pm on Christmas Eve and be closed on
Christmas Day.
6. BrianO: Everyone knows about the great gourmet pizza at Pizza a Fetta,
but Brian also knows about Jonathon Hoffman's pizza. He will be serving
tonight (Wednesday) at Surfcrest Market in Tolovana from 5-8pm. JohnB: Next
door to Surfcrest Market is Sea Level Bakery which will be reopening this
weekend.
7.KevanR: In the ongoing effort to attract people to Cannon Beach during
this time of year, ads are being placed with Travel Oregon, Travel
Portland, the Oregon Coast Visitors Assn and 1859 Magazine. Exposure with
be both online and print. Social media is no less important. Experience
Cannon Beach is the handle for Facebook, Instagram and soon Youtube.
8. Debbie: There is a Facebook page at I ❤︎ Cannon Beach where people who
love Cannon Beach are posting. This is a good page to share posts. Copy and
paste the name into Facebook.

10. MargoD: The new owner at the Bistro Restaurant is Jack Stevenson. He is

11. CourtC: With the guidance of Buddie at the Library, inspiration by Bill
Steidel, donations by various business and help from Jim at the Chamber, a
Cannon Beach tree sold for $3000 at this years Festival of Trees in Seaside

1. SarahD/JasonS: Saturday's Festival of Trees at Seaside Convention Center
to benefit Providence Hospital was once again a great event. Nearly 20
elaborately decorated trees, laden with benefits for purchasers drew approx
1500 people for the open house viewing Saturday afternoon where they could
vote for their favorite. That award went to the Seaside Downtown
Development Assn. Ticketed guests arrived in the evening for the gala
dinner and auction. One tree went for $4200. A wine tree went for over
$3000. Proceeds will assist the Diagnostic Imaging department in the
purchase of new 3D Tomosynthesis breast mammography technology. This
state-of-the-art technology will aid in our community's fight against
breast cancer, offering earlier detection of breast cancer for patients on
the North Coast.
2. JohnB: The Cannon Beach Chorus presents John Rutter's Gloria and Carols
from Many Lands. Friday Dec 9th 7pm at Cannon Beach Community Church. More

15. Last Saturday was the annual Lamplighting at Sandpiper Square. A very
nice crowd gathered for some Holiday music and cheer. Of course, Bill
Steidel sang his "Christmas in our Hometown" accompanied by Paul and Margo
