>From City Manager Bruce St Denis:

I would like to provide a correction regarding the statement about public
input into the new City Hall/Police Station (CH/PD) that were part of the
notes from this morning’s [Wednesday Morning Meeting].

There will be an agenda item on the October 11th work session where the
Council and architectural firm will talk about public input for the City
Hall/Police Station project.

It is our intent to create the same opportunities for both Council and
public input on the CH/PD project as there was for CBE Rejuvenation. That
process was very effective and well received.

The difference we are finding between the two is that there are no natural
“prompts” to get people to talk and provide input about the City
Hall/Police Department project. With the CBE Rejuvenation we had things
like the site, classrooms, the gym, and the tribal history. Those exciting
and obvious talking points are lacking with the CH/PD project.

The purpose of the agenda item is to determine how we can overcome that
hurdle and encourage the public to provide their ideas and other input.

Thanks.

Lance was not only collecting cans, but was trying to help clean up and was
meeting people before they entered the facility. This is a liability since
he’s not an employee nor a volunteer. Has also CB does not make money off
